THE INTERACTIVE FOREST

THE ADVENTURES OF DEREK AND LANA

CHAPTER ONE: OUT OF THE DARK

Derek and Lana reached out with their hands, feeling their way in pitch darkness to prevent hitting their heads on low hanging rocks while trying to find their way out of the cave. Derek kept his right hand on the cave wall and his left hand overhead to feel for the low hanging rocks; Lana kept her right hand on the cave wall and her left hand holding Derek's belt to prevent losing him. They had to travel slowly because of the sometimes large rocks on the floor that could trip them.

They felt their way along for what seemed like an eternity when suddenly Derek, while feeling the wall with his right hand, felt another passageway with his left hand. They both felt the rocks to study the two passages and had to decide whether to take the right or the left.
